Audition times? This is Tori Knoche and I am planning to audition on my clarinet but I can't find the audition schedule.

Thursday, Jan. 29 at 7:00 p.m. at Pershing Auditorium as part of the Middle School Instrumental Festival.

Thursday, Apr. 16 at 7:00 p.m., Irving Middle School, with the YES Orchestra

2008-2009 Auditions will take place Sep. 17 & 18. Audition Results will be posted by Monday, Sep. 22.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals are held on Thursdays in Irving Middle School's band/orchestra room from 4:15 to 5:45.

The 2008-2009 rehearsals are held every Thursday except for the weeks of the LPS Fall and Spring Breaks. Specific dates are as follows:
Sep. 25, Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23, Nov. 6, 13, 20, Dec. 4, 11, Jan. 8, 15, 22, 29 (around noon, specific time TBA), Feb. 5, 12, 19, 26, March 5, 12, 19, April 2, 9, 16.

April 16, the date of the Spring Concert, is the last rehearsal for the school year. The April 16 rehearsal is only one hour -- 4:15-5:15 p.m. and the concert is at 7pm, with students reporting for the concert at 6:40.

JYO Schedule

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS for 2008-2009:
1) JYO Auditions will take place at Lefler Middle School on Wed/Thu, Sep. 17 & 18. Audition music should be posted shortly.
2) Students will be able to sign up for an audition time on the web site. These times should be posted by Sep. 7.
3) Concert Dates for 2008-2009: Sunday, Dec. 14 and Thursday, April 16. Both of these concerts will take place at 7:00PM in the Irving Auditorium. The Middle School Instrumental Festival is Thursday, Jan. 29.
4) Rehearsals: All rehearsals will take place at Irving MIddle School, 4:15-5:45 pm.

JYO News

Dr. Karen Becker will be conducting the Junior Youth Orchestra again this year. Dr. Becker is Associate Professor of Cello at UNL and Principal Cellist of the Lincoln Symphony.
